Our latest entreprofessionals are engaged in the promotion of a proprietary set of websites.  Essentially, they’re using their web marketing experience to develop a cluster of related sites that they own.  The LLC we set up for them will own the sites and contract out the work to the owners and others through the subcontractor agreements we provide.  Pretty interesting…  Best of luck!

Congratulations to our latest entreprofessional, a benefits consultant that helps employers lower healthcare costs while maintaining quality coverage.  Like many of the folks we help, he’s experienced in his industry, has a strong network of contacts and has decided to move on from traditional employment to working for himself full-time.  Since now is the time, he’s making it real and doing it right.  We’re assisting by forming his LLC, obtaining the company’s EIN and providing the agreement he will use with his clients, subcontractors and referral sources.  Best of luck!

Welcome our latest entreprofessional, a video editor specializing in post-production, soon to become a full service video production company.  He’s been his own boss for several years but, capitalizing on recent opportunity, is making the move now from freelance work to formalizing his work into a business.  From there, he’ll expand his services, primarily through subcontractor relationships.  We handled his company setup (LLC formation and EIN) and provided him with agreements he can use with his subs and his clients.  Congrats!

What do you get when 3 entreprofessionals get together?  A joint venture! What these guys do is actually far from humorous.  They’re in the data protection business.  Each of them runs his own IT consulting firm, and together they developed a software platform for monitoring and managing data recovery systems for small businesses.  We formed the LLC for the new business, obtained the EIN and prepared an operating agreement to govern the relationship among the owners.  We also provided the liability protections in our client services agreement for their beta test with customers.  Best of luck with the venture!

Congratulations to our latest entreprofessional!  After a successful career as a nonprofit executive, he’s decided to consult with other nonprofits after his retirement.  He’ll work on his terms, for organizations he chooses.  What a great way to continue to have an impact after traditional work years.  We believe that more and more retirees will be choosing to spend at least some of their time this way and look forward to being there to help make that choice a professional reality.  We will form an LLC for the business to protect personal assets, obtain the EIN to ensure a separate identity for the company and provide our package of contracts to engage clients, subcontractors and affiliates on advantageous liability, intellectual property and other terms.  Great move!

Her line actually includes natural body care products in addition to soap (for the record).  Our other entreprofessional for today creates these products and runs a retail outlet.  Like many, she has been selling her products to see how the business developed, and decided to formalize into a company now that the business has its legs.  We provided our LLC filing service to form the company.  Best of luck with the business!

Our first of 2 new entreprofessionals today (more on the other separately) is an experienced IT consultant who specializes in system risk analysis and integrity.  He’s been on his own for a while, but decided to get legal and professionalize his business now because he’s developed a new project-based service offering that he will roll out in 2012.  We helped by forming his LLC, obtaining the EIN and preparing the contract forms the company will use for providing the service to clients, subcontracting out some of the work to other IT professionals and paying referral fees to people who send him new clients.  I’ve known him for and am really pleased to see this good stuff happening!

We’re delighted to announce our newest entreprofessional, a residential real estate appraiser.  He’s been doing this work for years, and decided to professionalize the business now because he plans to expand into other locations and hire other appraisers to assist him.  Our Upstart Package worked for him.  We formed his LLC and obtained the EIN, and the contract documents will serve him when he engages clients, contractors and affiliates.  Best of luck with growing the business!
